Review: Undressed by Avery Aster

Rating: ★★★★
Date published: February 15th, 2013
Publisher: Ellora's Cave
Synopsis: Book 1 in The Manhattanites series.

Milan’s notorious playboy, Prince Tittoni, seems to have everything—Lamborghinis, exotic women, palaces throughout Europe and business success. Ramping up his fabric company to go global with a new apparel brand, he ruthlessly stops supplying fabrics to the American client who inspired the collection. But once they meet, what’s he willing to give to get her in his bed?

Upper East Side designer Lex Easton has already endured her fair share of hard knocks. She’ll be damned if she’ll let an Italian stud muffin knock her down. So what if she named her favorite vibrator after him? With Fashion Week approaching, she’ll do whatever it takes to secure the fabrics she needs to make her clothing line an international success—even sleep with her rival.

Lex’s Louboutins are dug in deep to win this war. All’s fair in love and fashion!

Inside Scoop: Though the hero and heroine remain monogamous, their Prada-wearing friends indulge in a ménage a trois and other fashionable sexual fun and games.

What I Thought:

Boy is this book hot! I've been wanting to read this book for well over a year! I loved seeing Lex all grown up and taking charge of her life.  She's a much different person than I met in Love, Lex.  I think she's cooler now than she was than.  Of course she still is hanging out and relying on her best friends Taddy, Blake, and Vive.

I really enjoyed how hot the chemistry between Prince Tittoni and Lex was.  I wasn't ever quite sure what was going to happen between them.  One moment things were great and the next they were going their separate ways.  I also enjoyed the steamy interlude by some of the Prince's friends and I know Lex enjoyed it too.  ;)

Avery Aster has once again done a fantastic job at making her characters likable and keeping me entertained.  Reading Undressed only has me more eager to read the next book in The Manhattanite series, Unscrupulous.  I have a feeling Taddy Brill will be like Lex, more fabulous now that she is older.  Of course, I'm also eagerly awaiting to see how she was a teen too.

This book made me laugh, got me hot, and left me wanting more.  If you're in the mood for a steamy read, you can pick up any one of Avery's titles and be entertained!

About the Author
New York Times, USA Today bestselling author Avery Aster pens The Manhattanites, a modern romance series of juicy melodramas multilayered on love, friendship, scandal, and drama to the hilt. As a resident of New York’s Upper East Side and a graduate from New York University, Avery gives readers an inside look at the city’s glitzy nightlife, socialite sexcapades and tall tales of the über-rich and ultra-famous. “I write about what I see in my metropolis that never sleeps–beautiful people on the quest for a passionate thrill,” Avery says. By and large, Avery’s characters are ripped straight from the headlines, speak their minds and always get what they want.
Undressed #1 (Lex & Massimo) launched The Manhattanites series. Unscrupulous #2 (Taddy & Warner) is the prequel. Also, stay tuned for the sequel with Unsaid #3 (Blake & Miguel) coming summer 2014.
The Manhattanites is for fans who miss TV shows like Sex & The City or watch Girls (HBO), Revenge (ABC), and The Bold & the Beautiful (CBS) . Avery’s characters are over the top. They have cray-cray fun, speak their minds and always get what they want. Each novel may be read as a stand alone.
