This book is freakin' amazing! I loved it. Read on to find out how much and laugh while I try to explain it. There's an equally amazing giveaway I'm thinking of entering myself...
Book Summary:
BURNING THROUGH GRAVITY—they
soared so high so fast they never expected the fall.
Two beautiful souls.
Two seemingly innocent deceptions.
Once they meet, Stevie and Ford explode into one another in a ball of
lust, hotter than a July moon. Ford is assertive, dominate and in control, that
is until Stevie brings him to his knees. He thinks she’s the most beautiful
woman he’s ever met both inside and out. Stevie thinks he’s sweet, and sort of
goofy—of course it doesn’t hurt that he drips sex like honey.
Stevie is starting to fall hard for Ford.
And Ford is all in with Stevie.
She wonders if he could ever forgive her for what she’s about to do.
She wonders if she wants him to.
They say love conquers all.
But love never met two liars like Stevie and Ford.
His lie cost her a few sleepless nights.
Her lie will cost him everything.
Review: ★★★★★ stars
I haven't read a book by Addison Moore in quite some time. It seems like I've been missing out on quite a bit. I wasn't sure what the book was about besides secrets when I read the blurb, but something about it called to me and I'm SO glad I listened to whatever it was. If I hadn't, I might have missed out on a story I couldn't put down and blew me away. I'm going to try to explain how, so please bear with me.
It didn't take very long for me to immerse myself in this book. All it took was the first chapter and that was it. I wanted to know why Stevie was so hell bent on ending her life and the effect Ford's entrance would have on it. It's funny because Addison Moore strew hints at the devastation Stevie, Ford, and I were soon about to feel, but I was too hung up on reading every word as fast as I possibly could to connect the dots. That was in the beginning. I kept devouring the pages and the story. Further hints were given about another big reveal and thankfully I was able to put that together, but out of the big reveals, I was rocked by all but one. If it was a scoreboard, it'd show Addison 50 Chanpreet 1, and yet I still emerged a winner. After all, I fell in love with the imperfect, irreverent, sarcastic Stevie, eager imperfect, sometimes not so brilliant Ford, and all of Stevie and Ford's families (except her parents, they were real pieces of something foul smelling, and that's being nice).
I feel like I read a book featuring Ford and Stevie that stole not only my heart but set the basis for many more stories featuring various people I met, which makes me a very happy reader. To say I want to read Aspen and Carter's story right now would be correct. I have a feeling not only are their secrets going to be revealed, but others will as well.
It's funny, neither Stevie nor Ford is perfect. In fact, they're so messed up, they're perfect for each other and in turn that's what made this reading experience so rich for me. They were real and I wanted them to overcome the ginormous hurdles in front of them. I can tell you right now this book is going up on my bookshelf and if the rest of the books in the series are anything like this one, they will be too. Encore Ms. Moore and Brava!
