Blog Tour: Promo and Author Interview of A Whole New Crowd by Tijan

It's FINALLY here!  I always feel like the wait between books written by Tijan is infinite.  It's hard to wait for her to write and edit a book.  Especially since I usually end up reading what's she written in a couple of hours.  Tijan has very quickly become a favorite author of mine and of many others as well.  :)

TITLE: A WHOLE NEW CROWD
AUTHOR: TIJAN
GENRE: YA
RELEASE DATE: AUGUST 18, 2014

**SYNOPSIS**

Taryn grew up in a different world. Her boyfriend was a criminal. His older brother was part of a gang. They weren't great people, but they were her family. Then everything changes when she's sent to a new family in the neighboring town. New family. New friends. A new world. She's elated. This is her chance for a new beginning, but secrets start being revealed and Taryn learns her new life has some ties to her old one, ties that she's not happy about. Her new family might not have been the lucky break she thought she had.

**TEASER**
I forced myself to turn away as a tingle of fear slid inside of me. Tray could have devastating effects on me if I allowed it. I shook my head. I couldn’t allow it.

**EXCERPT**
His hand curled around the back of my neck, and he moved me so I was looking up at him. Our eyes caught and held. He was somber. “This scares you?”
“What you can do to me scares me.” I was being honest. It was freeing. Then I frowned. I had never been this open with Brian.
“You mean this?” His hand dipped down and went between my legs again. He paused, his fingers right there where I wanted them and he smiled. “Or this?” His other hand rested between my breasts. My pulse was racing, but my heart seemed to leap to meet his touch.
He felt it and his smile grew tender.
I swallowed. “Both. You’re real.” Real relationships. That’s what we had talked about. “That makes me want to shit my pants.”
He laughed. “Speaking of.” His fingers teased me and slid back inside. Then he grew serious again. “This shouldn’t scare you.”
“Spoken from someone who knows his family, who’s had the same friends probably most his life, who never had to move from home to home.”
He frowned, but said, “Spoken like someone whose father is a disgrace to me.”
I sat upright. “You’ve never said much about your family.”
“Neither have you.”
“My family was Jace and Brian. I’m trying to move on from them.”
He shook his head. “Seems like we’re both holding back.”
I took in a deep breath. That was the truth. That’s why I had been struggling since his party. It was time to let go and move forward.
He touched my bottom lip, drawing my attention back to him. “What are you thinking?”

I hesitated, then said, “About letting you in.”

**AUTHOR INTERVIEW**

I had the pleasure of asking Tijan some questions regarding A Whole New Crowd.  Here's what she had to say. Hi Tijan,

Congratulations on the successful re-release of A Whole New Crowd.  I wanted to ask you a few questions pertaining to AWNC for Saturday's blog tour post.

1. What were your feelings when you re-read AWNC and started editing it?

'Holy crap. This is a lot of work.' I had no idea what the response would be. I wrote AWNC so long ago, but as I started writing the new section, I just fell in love with it again. I am very proud of this book so I'm just happy that others seem to be liking it as well.

2. Do you feel like your writing style has changed since you first wrote AWNC?

I'm sure it has.

3.Will you ever release the old edition as an alternative one as you have done with other stories?

Planning on it, and it should be soon too. It will be titled The Original Crowd, but it will be like FCAV. The description will be about what it is in relation to the new version of A Whole New Crowd.

4.Will you be continue to edit and release other stories related to AWNC that are no longer available?

I have mixed emotions with this answer because I would like to write a new Jace book. I already have, but it's so rough and it's so big that I won't ever edit it and publish it. BUT since I have a list of books waiting to be written and fans waiting for those other books, I cannot take on any more books. I think I'm booked through 2015 already with the books that people are waiting from me, but I love Jace. I miss Jace.

5. Which character if any, do you relate to the most in AWNC?

I'm a mix between Taryn, Jace, and a small amount of Tray. :)

Thank you for your time Tijan!
