Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway for #Player by Cambria Hebert

This book is everything I was hoping for and more.  It's the last book that features Romeo and Rimmel as the hero and heroine, but I think I could read about them forever!

Title: #Player
Series: Hashtag Series
Author: Cambria Hebert
Genre: NA Contemp/College Romance
Release Date: March 9, 2015

Synopsis

Players gotta play.

Hate is like a poison. It contaminates everything.

So does doubt.

Even though I deny what I overheard, even though I insist it isn’t true, the seed of doubt has been planted. I can’t help but be tormented with the endless what-if’s that have taken over our lives.

Romeo and I were happy in love. The future stretched before us brighter than any star in the darkest sky. Now everything is broken. Literally broken. Romeo’s entire career is at stake, my entire future is threatened… and my past?

It’s coming back to haunt me.

To haunt us.

Romeo says we’re in this together and right now the only sure thing is us. But how far can a love so new be pushed? The lengths we will have to go to save each other puts everything at risk.

Romeo is a #player but how much of the game can one person play?

Review

★★★★★ stars

I wanted to read #Player the moment I finished #Hater. The wait was almost interminable.  I can't believe Cambria Hebert has somehow managed to wrap up Romeo and Rimmel's story in three books.  I felt for sure there'd have to be another book to solve the conflicts that developed during this book, and don't get me wrong, I'd love to read another book mainly about them, but the both of them have some seriously dramatic lives and deserve a break!

The action was nonstop from page one and once it started, it didn't let up.  There were no lulls and no slowing down.  I didn't set the book down once.  I couldn't.  I had to know what was going to happen with Zach and then the big surprise that had been thrust upon Rimmel at the end of #Hater became the focus of the story. I just couldn't believe how much everything had changed for Rimmel.  It was like everything she'd known about her life was a lie.  I completely understood and felt her pain  as revelation after revelation came forward and rocked her world.

I have to admit swooning once again over Romeo.  There is nothing that guy won't do to show Rimmel how much he loves and supports her.  And Rimmel did the same.  They might be young, but they've grasped that what they have with each other is special and to be protected against and above all others.  I also love how Braeden stepped up in this book for both Rimmel and Romeo.  He really is a true friend. I loved how Romeo didn't let his injury keep him down.  He did whatever it took to get back up on his feat.  He really showed he was a true lover of the game.

I've loved meeting and falling in love with Rimmel and Romeo.  I've laughed with them, cried with them, and just loved being a small part of their world.  I know this isn't the last I'll see of them, but I can't help but want more.  I'm really looking forward to #Selfie,  which is Braeden's book.  He might be a total manwhore, but I see redemption and love coming in his future.  I'm also predicting it may be with Ivy, whom he has a contentious relationship.  Either way, Cambria Hebert has arrived on my radar in a very big way after this series.  I know she's shot onto my must read list.  I'm so glad she has an extensive back list to catch up on before her next book arrives.  If you haven't read any of her books, now is a great time to start!

Cambria Hebert is a bestselling novelist of more than twenty books. She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major, and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair.
