What I Thought:

I knew going into this book that it was the second of three parts. For the life of me, I can not figure out why I thought all the hard stuff was out in the open and it was going to be smooth sailing for Noah and Amelia from there on out, but I did, even knowing the first part had ended on a cliffhanger of epic proportions. Little did I know what was waiting for me, or rather should I say for Amelia and Noah. I didn't think it was possible for them shaken any further, but once again I underestimated J.J. McAvoy's talent.

Childstar 2 started right where Childstar 1 left off. The pace from the first pace was fast and intense. It was a meaty part. Not only was there plenty of character development, but the plot rapidly progressed as well. I really feel like Amelia was stronger and more confident in this book as compared to the one we initially met in part one. I also feel like Noah has relaxed quite a bit. He can still seem like a jerk, but his softer side is beginning to make a comeback. I love the way he is when he's with Amelia. The change in his disposition is remarkable. It's almost like truth set him free. I also loved seeing them interact with those around them. I may have squealed when the queen of the screen (Amelia) met the queen of the streets (Melody). Okay, so there was a lot of squealing and a happy dance. I love Easter Eggs that tie one book with another.

This installment is just under a hundred pages and it's captivating, but I read it so quickly I felt dazed when it was over, and eager to find out what happened next. J.J. McAvoy certainly put my feelings and emotions through the wringer and she did the same to Amelia and Noah. The mystery surrounding what ails Noah has still not been revealed and even with unveiling of the ugly secret that kept them apart for so long, fresh trouble is looming on the horizon for both Amelia and Noah. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for part 3 and to hopefully get the answers to my questions. I'm hoping my poor heart will get some rest, but at this point all I want to know is what happens next!
