What I Thought:
I loved this little collection of short stories and a novella featuring some favorite characters from the Knitting in the City series. When I love a book, it's really hard to let go of characters. If it was possible, I'd probably live in their worlds forever. I love Penny Reid decided to reward her readers and donate to a charity at the same time. Just so yo know, these are not stand alone stories. You'd be completely lost and confused if you tried to read them on their own.
'Neanderthal Seeks Honeymoon' and 'Hacking the Hacker' made me laugh, while 'Friends Definitely With Benefits' and 'Beauty and the Beard' made me swoon. All five stories were entertaining and enjoyable. The first four offering are truly short stories, not just because of their lengths, but because they tantalized me and reminded me why I love these characters so much. I wanted more of each couple as I read each successive story. I loved seeing how they were doing after their HEA's. The real meat to this collection came from the novella, which featured Greg and Fiona, the next couple in the series who will be getting a novel.
I've loved all of Penny's heroes and heroines, but I have a soft spot for Janie and Quinn. I think Greg may give Quinn some serious competition for that coveted spot as my favorite Penny Reid hero. I loved reading about how Fiona and Greg met. I had goosebumps during that first kiss! I'm so glad Penny gave us a little something to enjoy this holiday season. I can't wait to get the rest of Greg and Fiona's story!
Oh and thank you for the teasing me with the first chapter of The Hooker and The Hermit. I look forward to learning more about the bulges!

About the Author
SEX! It all started with sex, between my parents. Personally I don’t like thinking about it, but whatever works for you is a-ok with me. No judgment. The sex happened in California and much of my life also occurred in that state until I moved from the land of nuts (almonds), wine, silicon… boobs, and heavy traffic to the southeast US. Like most writers I like to write, but let’s get back to sex. Eventually I married and gave birth to 2 small people-children (boy-6, girl-4 as of this writing).
By day I’m a biomedical researcher with focus on rare diseases. By night I’m a knitter, sewer, lino block carver, fabric printer, soap maker, and general crafter. By the wee hours of the morning or when I’m intoxicated I love to listen to the voices in my head and let them tell me stories. I hope you enjoy their stories.
