I really enjoyed this book. I don't know why it took me so long to pick up this book, but once I started it, I was hooked! I also jumped the gun and posted my review a little over two weeks early. You can see my original review here. Read on to see what Colet has to say about writing romance and don't forget to enter the giveaway.

Clayton comes from another world of privilege that seems like a fantasy to Sophie. Can this man introduce her to the passion & seduction she never realized she was desperately searching for? Colet Says:
The best part about writing a romance is getting lost in a world that is
pure fantasy and one that you have absolute control over. I love coming up with
sexy scenarios and living vicariously through characters that are completely
fictional. It's kind of amazing. You can be in Los Angeles one second and the
next, as is the case with Mad Love, be on a plane to the Maldives where you
meet this drop dead gorgeous guy who literally sweeps you off your feet. Can
you imagine that happening in real life? I think that would be a pretty hot
scenario if you’re single and hoping to find love. J
I get to do the research, look up cool things for my characters to do
and suddenly I'm there in the Maldives and I haven't left my house or my
computer. When I was writing Mad Love I lived in this alternate world that was
pretty hard for me to leave. My husband had to beg me to come to sleep some
nights. You’re so deeply involved and everything becomes so real. I really do live
and breathe my characters. Right now, I'm in it to win with Sophie. I want her to end up with Clayton but I also want her to grow as a
person and get to the place where she knows innately that he's the right person
for her... so I totally try and put myself in her shoes. What would I do? How
would I react and then I take some of me, sprinkle in what some of my
girlfriends would do and add a bit more to create a person who is a mix of many
women I know. I'm super blessed to have pretty amazing, fun, gorgeous friends
who live glamorous lives... there's so much material that I take away from our
conversations and infuse in what I'm doing. Art really does imitate life.
