Lily, you predictable perv. I knew you’d open this email faster if I tempted you with a glimpse of JT's “PP”. Well, put your pants back on and grab some bubbly because I have much better news to share.

I GOT A JOB!

As of tomorrow, I’ll be the new executive assistant at Lorena Lefray Designs. I am SO excited, but there’s one itty bitty problem: I won’t be Lorena’s assistant. I’ll be working for her older brother, Julian.

I know what you're thinking- "But Jo, what’s the problem?"

Google him. Now. He’s the man in the fitted navy suit whose face reminds you that there’s hope yet for this cruel, ugly world. Keep scrolling…Do you see those dimples? Yup. That’s the Julian Lefray I will be reporting to tomorrow morning.

Lord, help us all...

XO,
Jo

What I Thought:

Well it's no secret I love to laugh. It's on par with how much I love cheesecake and reading. Combine two of the three, with a fabulous romance and you have a surefire way to win my attention and a fan for life. I can always use a laugh or two.  I'd been fanning myself from all the teasers I've seen over the past couple of weeks and was so eager to read this book. It's safe to say R.S. Grey doesn't disappoint.

I've got to say I really loved Julian and Josephine.  It was wonderful to experience their love story from both their view points. I really felt like I could relate to Jo. She was down to earth, funny, quirky, slightly awkward but trying not to be. She was hardworking and determined to make something of herself. When it came to Julian, I totally swooned over him. He was everything I hoped to be, but with a twist. He wasn't the indiscriminate bad boy player I was expecting him to be.

In fact, that'd be my only complaint about the story. Julian wasn't an altar boy, but he wasn't reformed either. I mean this is a guy who was essentially a great guy at heart and the reason why he met Jo and why he hired her says a lot towards that. I may have a soft spot for bad boys, but I have an even larger soft spot for good guys. Plus he's hard working too. He may come from money, but he's set on making a name and fortune for himself as well.

Julian and Jo had blistering chemistry. The tension between them was almost palpable. It certainly was seductive and captivating. There was no way I could put this book down.  If I wasn't fanning myself, then I was laughing. I love the way R.S. Grey writes.  Her writing is light, but in no way fluffy.  She uses descriptive language that allows me to often "see" what's happening in my head, making many scenes even funnier. Don't even get me started on the number of times my laughter burst out of me, scaring everyone around me. I couldn't control myself and didn't want to.

I loved this book. I'm hoping some certain someones I met in this book might be getting their story told next.  I can't wait to see more of Jo and Julian too. I wouldn't mind reading another book or novella about them. If you're looking to laugh and fall in love, this is one book you must read. It's just perfect!

About the Author
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
